Writers Read

Marshall Zeringue is at it again, he’s asking writers what they’re reading and posting it at his Campaign for the American Reader. Go there and see what I’m reading, along with a bunch of other writers. Come on, it’s summertime, you know you need beach books.

    Hey Dana,

Just to let you know that you’re really fouling up my work schedule. Have gotten into your books. Blindfold Game was the first, and am now in the process of starting to go thru the Kate Shugat series. Alaska sounds like a totally beautiful place … and, especially nowdays in contrast to what the Seattle area has become.

Besides the obvious appreciation of reading about the Coast Guard and life for my son in your daily blogs from the Munro, I enjoyed your warmth and very evident sense of humanity. The same qualities give life to your fiction characters. Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyable!

Now in the meantime, I’m going to starve because I can’t put your books down. That’s all right, “man does not live by bread alone,” or at least I’m trying to see if that’s so.

    Thanks much.
    Carol G.

    Thanks, Carol. But eat!

    Dana;

I have read all your mysteries and listen to them while I drive. I am a born and raised Alaskan stuck now in Arizona. Loved the part about Johnny hitching back from AZ. Your stories so take me back.

Loved Margurite Gavin reading – what happened as she is not the reader in a Deeper Sleep?

    Thank you for your imagination

    Kathi

Having just hooked a patron on your books, I am reaping the rewards of her obsession by getting to read all of your Kate Shugak books as she orders them through InterLibraryLoan. I’m hoping she will also order your science fiction books. Finally, someone who knows who Zenna Henderson is!

    Hey Dana,
I just wanted to let you know that I love your Kate Shugak series! Two more to go and I’ll be finished. :)

  6. Dana says:

I don’t know why Marguerite Gavin was replaced as the narrator, Kathi. I loved her, too.

Delighted to hear from another Zenna Henderson fan, thanks!

And great to hear you’re enjoying the work, Janissa.
