I thought I posted this comment, but I can't find it. There are inconsistencies in the books that made me curious- how did they happen? At first, Kate's eyes are brown, but later they're hazel. Once, she was 8 when she went to live with Emaa, and later she was 5. Jim Chopin is said to be 6'10", but later he is 6'2". In one book, Mutt is 1/2 husky and 1/2 malamute, when we all know she's 1/2 wolf.

Very cool, Dana! My dh was stationed on the Munro when she was first commissioned and based in Boston.

We met at Left Coast Crime when it was in Anchorage.

We're both big fans of your books!

That sounds like a good idea to me. I know I bought a couple of books that were mentioned.

I haven't, but it's a good idea.

How about this: I put up a page under the Kate Shugak series, I'll start it with a title from the series and put a couple of book or whatever titles under it, and then invite everyone to do the same?

The one rule I would make is that the title of the Kate Shugak novel in which the title of the other work is mentioned must be included.

What do you think?

I am a rabid fan of the Kate Shugak series.

Has anyone made a list of the movies/songs/records/books/poems mentioned in the series? I am really interested in reading some of the books and more of the poetry. If you can help, I would appreciate it.
